Playdigious and Unknown Worlds continue bringing the Subnautica series to mobile devices.
Playdigious has officially announced the release of Subnautica: Below Zero on mobile devices. Pre-registration is already open on Google Play, while pre-orders are available on the App Store. The game will cost $8.99. Full Russian language support has been announced; however, the project will not be available in the Russian segment of mobile storefronts.
Below Zero is a standalone sequel to the original Subnautica from Unknown Worlds Entertainment. The events unfold on the same planet, 4546B, but in a new Arctic region. After a crash landing, the player must explore icy waters and the planet's surface while trying to uncover the fate of their sister.
The mobile version of Subnautica: Below Zero has been adapted for touch controls and features a redesigned interface. On Android, Google Play Games achievements and cloud saves are supported, allowing progress to be transferred between devices. Gamepad support has also been confirmed.
In the App Store, the developers separately listed the system requirements. The game does not run on iPhone XR, second-generation iPhone SE, fifth-generation iPad mini, third-generation iPad Air, as well as eighth- and ninth-generation iPad models. Comfortable performance is stated starting from iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Pro 11. On a number of older models, the game runs at reduced resolution.
Subnautica: Below Zero is scheduled for release on iOS and Android on March 10, 2026. The original Subnautica had previously already made its way to smartphones — the mobile version launched in July 2025.
