BN Pictures studio has unveiled a new teaser for the feature-length anime "Gintama: Yoshiwara in Flames." This time, the "battle trailer" focuses on the duel between Kamui and Hosen, showcasing animation updated for the theatrical version.
The film is timed to the franchise's 20th anniversary and will be released in Japanese theaters on February 13, 2026. The picture will become an expanded adaptation of the "Yoshiwara in Flames" arc, familiar from episodes 139-146 of the original anime. The creators emphasize that the theatrical version will receive additional scenes and reworked segments that were absent from the television format, including new characters.
The project is directed by Naoya Ando ("Paradox Live"), with the screenplay written by Taku Kishimoto ("Blue Lock"). Overall production supervision is handled by Yoichi Fujita, the chief director of the television "Gintama."
