Ubisoft has released a new project in the Might & Magic franchise on mobile devices running iOS and Android. The game is titled Might & Magic Fates and is positioned as a spiritual successor to the series, with an emphasis on tactical PvP battles and deck building.
Fates features creatures, spells, artifacts, buildings, and heroes from different factions of the Might & Magic world that are familiar from the universe. Special attention is given to heroes: they can be developed by unlocking new abilities and thereby strengthening the deck.
The project is distributed under a free-to-play model. Ubisoft emphasizes that in-game purchases do not provide a direct competitive advantage and are intended to preserve fair competition in PvP.
The PC version has not yet been released. Earlier, the publisher announced the imminent launch of Might & Magic Fates in Steam Early Access, but in its latest message it did not specify either the date or the exact start time. The Early Access announcement was published on the same day as the announcement of the mobile release, which is why the game was expected to appear simultaneously on all platforms.
