Halle Berry has put an end to rumors about her involvement in the film "Avengers: Doctor Doom." The actress, who played Storm in FOX's classic "X-Men" lineup, once again confirmed that she will not appear in Marvel's upcoming crossover, but made it clear that she is not saying a final goodbye to the role.
Speaking with reporters, Berry emphasized that Storm remains a special character for her and recalled how important the mutant films were personally for her and her family:
"Storm is a very important heroine to me. I was happy to play her, and I am proud that my children grew up on those films. I am sad that I will not be in \"Doctor Doom\" this time, but there are other options. I would agree without hesitation."
The mention of "other options" immediately sparked a wave of speculation. Some fans believe that the actress may appear in "Avengers: Secret Wars," where, according to rumors, different versions of characters and universes will once again intersect.
Others point out that the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will focus on mutants. The studio has already brought back James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellen, so the possibility of Berry's return should not be completely ruled out.
Additional fuel for discussion comes from reports about reshoots planned for spring 2026, during which the cast is expected to be expanded.
The media also recall that Famke Janssen previously denied her involvement in the project, yet X-Men comics writer Chris Claremont claimed that the actress would still appear in the film. In the past, he similarly reported in advance Chris Evans's return to the role of Steve Rogers — eight months before the official announcement.
Marvel Studios has so far neither confirmed nor denied such claims. Clarity will come closer to the premiere of "Avengers: Doctor Doom," scheduled for December 18, 2026. However, at least one thing is already clear: Halle Berry is not closing the door on Storm's return.
