SEGA has revealed the premiere date for the mini-series based on the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series. The project, titled Like a Dragon Powered By Japan Unification, will be released on Prime Video on February 10 and will consist of three episodes.
The mini-series is timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the series and is part of SEGA's anniversary program. The main emphasis is on the cast: key roles are played by actors from the series "Japan Unification", who this time will transform into characters from Yakuza / Like a Dragon.
The main roles in the series are played by Yasukaze Motomiya (Kazuma Kiryu), Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi (Goro Majima), Kazuhiro Nakaya (Akira Nishikiyama) and Kenji Matsuda (Makoto Date). At the same time, Nakaya returns to the image of Nishikiyama, whom he previously voiced in the games of the series, and is also well known to fans as the voice of Ichiban Kasuga.
The plot of the mini-series is based on the events of the first Yakuza and leads to the release of the Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties remake, which will be released on February 12 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
