MobileGamer.biz has published a ranking of the most downloaded mobile games for January 2026, based on data from the AppMagic analytics platform. As usual, the statistics do not include downloads on Android in China.
Block Blast took first place again. Despite a noticeable drop — more than 10 million installs compared to December — the casual puzzle retained its leadership with a result of 28 million downloads. This proved sufficient to remain out of reach for competitors.
Free Fire took second place. The shooter had its best month since the summer of 2025, approaching the 26 million downloads mark. Analysts attribute the increased interest to the collaboration with the anime "Jujutsu Kaisen", which significantly boosted audience activity.
Roblox took third place — about 22.6 million installs. The decline compared to December is expectedly attributed to the end of the New Year holidays and the return of schoolchildren to their desks.
The rest of the top 10 did not hold any major surprises: most projects showed similar results. The exceptions were Vita Mahjong, which set a personal record for downloads, and the return of Tile Explorer to the top ten most downloaded games of the month.
