Sony Confirmed Marvel's Wolverine. One of PlayStation's Main Projects is Coming Soon
Sony Interactive Entertainment has reassured fans that the solo game about Logan remains a key project for Insomniac Games in the next fiscal year (April 2026 - March 2027).
Although the company used general timeframes, analysts believe that the most likely release date remains autumn 2026. Marvel’s Wolverine, along with Saros, is expected to be the company's main source of income in the coming months.
Liam McIntyre will play James «Logan» Howlett, who thanked fans for thousands of wishlist additions and promised that more gameplay footage will be shown in 2026.
What is especially important for fans of the original comic, Insomniac Games is not going to lower the bar of cruelty. The September trailer clearly showed that claw fights will be bloody, brutal and uncompromising. Blood, flying limbs and brutal finishing blows are expected to be commonplace, making this game one of the darkest in the PlayStation portfolio.
Sony states that 2026 will be a period of strengthening the position of their internal studios, and Wolverine is a clear proof of this course.
