New Fortnite Season Delayed: Epic Games Announces New Date
It has been announced that the second season of Chapter Seven, originally scheduled for March 4, 2026, has been postponed by more than two weeks. The new launch date is March 19.
The information was confirmed by Epic Games via the official Fortnite Status account on X. In the message, the developers hinted that the extra time will allow them to improve the content and prepare something more ambitious, which could mean a larger update at the start of the season.
Thus, the current chapter with a new map, weapons, and high-profile collaborations with pop culture will remain with players longer.
At the same time, the studio promised new events and content in February, including additional maps, skins, and collaborations.
The game director also mentioned a "fun update" that should diversify the season finale and maintain the pace before the March release.
