Nioh 3 was released on PlayStation 5 and PC and almost immediately confirmed high interest from players.
Even before its release, the project attracted the attention of fans of the "soulslike" genre, and after the release of the demo version, the developers noted increased interest in the game. Now it has become clear that it was not short-term: Nioh 3 has already gone down in the history of the series.
According to SteamDB, just a few hours after its release, Nioh 3 showed the best result in the franchise. At its peak, 84,947 people were playing the game simultaneously. This is noticeably higher than the demo version (39,227), as well as the previous parts: the first Nioh reached a peak of 10,649 players, and Nioh 2 — 41,325.
Nioh 3 received 83% positive reviews based on 4,000 reviews and took first place in the global Steam bestseller ranking in terms of revenue among paid games.
