The HBO series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” continues to gain momentum and break popularity records. The fourth episode of the season, titled “Seven,” has become the highest-rated so far, receiving a score of 9.7 out of 10 on IMDb.

This result not only surpassed the ratings of previous episodes but also placed the episode in the conditional top 10 best episodes of the entire “Game of Thrones” screen universe — on par with such iconic episodes of the original show as “The Door” (Season 6, Episode 5) and “Blackwater” (Season 2, Episode 9). For comparison, the highest-rated episode of “House of the Dragon” has a rating of 9.4.

The dynamics of the ratings underscore the growing audience interest. The first two episodes of the season received 8.1 and 8.3 points, the third — already 9.3, and the fourth came close to the maximum. Against this background, fans are actively discussing the probability that the season finale will be able to take 9.9 or even 10 out of 10 and stand alongside absolute franchise favorites — like “The Rains of Castamere” and “Battle of the Bastards.”

Additionally, the project demonstrates strong results among critics: on Rotten Tomatoes, the first season of “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” maintains 95% “freshness,” making it the highest-rated series in George Martin's universe.

The record ratings coincided with impressive viewership popularity — it was previously reported that the series topped the HBO Max charts in 78 countries.

The first season is planned to have six episodes. Work is already underway on the second season.
