Henry Cavill and Dave Bautista appeared together in photos and videos from the filming of the "Highlander" reboot

Production of the new version of "Highlander" from "John Wick" director Chad Stahelski is gaining momentum.

New photos and videos have appeared online from the set of the "Highlander" reboot, featuring Henry Cavill and Dave Bautista together. Cavill plays Connor MacLeod, an immortal warrior, while Bautista appears as his main antagonist, Kurgan.

The images were shared by the UnBoxPHD account, which regularly publishes exclusive footage from filming in London before others. Despite the less than high quality of the photos, they became the first look at the Cavill and Bautista duo in the frame and supplemented the materials that the actor himself shared earlier.

The reboot is directed by Chad Stahelski, known for the "John Wick" film series. The project has been in development for many years: initially, Lionsgate oversaw the film, but due to the increased budget, the studio refused to participate. As a result, the rights passed to United Artists, and Amazon MGM Studios is responsible for the release.

The exact release date of the new "Highlander" has not yet been announced. At the same time, the appearance of fresh footage from the filming indicates an active phase of production, resumed after a pause due to a leg injury that Cavill received in September 2025.
