Helldivers 2 has received a major "Machinery of Oppression" update, which brings back the cyborg faction familiar to fans from the original Helldivers.
With the release of the update, Super-Earth forces have launched an invasion of the planet Cyberstan, explaining the military campaign by the fact that the cyborgs have blueprints for a weapon of mass destruction called the "World Star," which could be used against humanity and democracy.
According to the developers, the siege of Cyberstan cannot continue indefinitely: as soon as the reinforcement counter on the global map drops to zero, the battle will be lost.
