The developers also promised to continue improving the game's optimization.
Monster Hunter series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto has officially confirmed that a large-scale expansion is in development for Monster Hunter Wilds, comparable in scope to the Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World and the Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise.
Update 1.041, scheduled for release on February 18, 2026, kicks off a month-long anniversary event that will run from February 18 to March 19.
As part of the anniversary celebration:
- all previous seasonal Festival of Accord events will return in a weekly rotation — players will have a second chance to obtain missed seasonal equipment
- a 10th difficulty level will be added with the return of four tempered monsters from the past, as well as a permanent event quest with a new tempered Arkwild
- completing level 10 quests will reward various items that increase the chance of rare talismans dropping
- a collaboration quest related to the upcoming Monster Hunter Stories 3 will be released
