Cammelin urged fans who want to pay tribute to the series to create something on their own.

A former production assistant for the animated series "Arcane" criticized a fan-made AI video based on the show, calling it disrespectful to the artists of the original project.

The reason for the discussion was a video generated using AI, in which the characters Jinx and Ekko fight Vander. The video was created using Seedance 2, a "multimodal video generation platform" that combines images, video, sound, and text to create cinematic content.

The artist Cammelin, who previously worked as a production assistant on the second season of "Arcane" at Fortiche studio and is now a production manager at Illogic Studios, reacted sharply to the video. He stated that the result looks "soulless and disrespectful to our artists who put an incredible amount of work into \"Arcane\"".

According to him, the problem with such tools is the minimal involvement of creativity: to generate a video, it is enough to take ready-made images and audio, easily borrowed from existing works — in this case, from Arcane. Cammelin urged fans who want to pay tribute to the series to create something on their own.
