Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions have announced that Jason Momoa will play one of the lead roles in the Helldivers adaptation. The project was announced last year, but now the studio has revealed key casting and confirmed the release date.
The premiere in foreign distribution is scheduled for November 10, 2027. The start date for filming has not yet been specified. The film will be directed by Justin Lin, who directed several parts of "Fast & Furious", so the collaboration with Momoa will not be his first.
The film is produced by Hutch Parker, Asad Qizilbash from PlayStation Productions, and Justin Lin through his company Perfect Storm Entertainment.
