Esquire has published a list of actors and descriptions of the series' key characters.
The Spider-Noir series continues to grow in detail. The new material reveals an expanded cast and confirms the key characters in the crime story, which takes place in 1930s New York as part of an alternate "spider" universe.
The main role in the series is played by Nicolas Cage. His character is not Spider-Man, but simply Spider. And his name is not Peter Parker, but Ben Reilly. The creators explained that viewers will see an older version of the hero. He has been through a lot and now works as a private detective. The authors have not yet revealed the details of the changes. They promise that viewers will receive answers as the series progresses.
One of the central antagonists will be the mafioso Silvermane, played by Brendan Gleeson («Mr. Mercedes»). According to the plot, several attempts have already been made on the crime boss, and the investigation of this case draws Cage's character into a large-scale conspiracy directly related to his past.
Flint Marko, better known as the Sandman, will also appear. The role will be played by Jack Huston («Mayfair Witches»). Cage's character will encounter him while investigating a series of arsons committed by a man capable of creating flames from his hands.
A new version of Black Cat will also appear in the series — here she is simply called Cat. The role is played by Li Jun Li («Evil»). She is a nightclub singer who draws Ben Reilly into underground intrigues. The character is described as a classic femme fatale in the spirit of noir films.
Among Reilly's allies will be journalist Robbie Robertson, played by Lamorne Morris («Ghosts»). He helps the hero in the investigation.
Karen Rodriguez («Wives on Strike») will play Jeanette — Ben Reilly's secretary in his detective agency.
The cast also includes Lucas Haas, Cameron Britton, Carey Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, Kai Caster.
The premiere of «Spider-Noir» is scheduled for spring 2026 on Prime Video.
