The authors plan to launch a crowdfunding campaign to finance the further development of the project.
Independent studio Soem Studios has announced the animated short film SCP: Gallionic, which will take place in the SCP Foundation universe. The project will focus on a large-scale breach of containment at one of the Foundation's facilities.
According to the plot, Jane Westergaard, a young Foundation employee, tried to warn the management about the impending disaster caused by violations of containment protocols, but she was not heard. Her brother Matthew, an accountant working outside the complex, is unaware of what is happening. After the incident, he decides to break inside to find his sister, not imagining what awaits him in the corridors of the laboratory.
The authors note that the short film will touch on the theme of control — both over the environment and over one's own decisions. At the same time, familiarity with the SCP lore is not required: the project is also designed for viewers who are not previously familiar with this universe.
The full launch, including the publication of a large trailer and the start of a crowdfunding campaign, is scheduled for February 17 at 19:00 Moscow time. The creators hope to raise funds both for the production of the film and for the further development of the story.
