Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the \"Spider-Man Noir\" series starring Nicolas Cage and announced the premiere date. The project transports viewers to an alternate New York of the 1930s — an era of the Great Depression, gangsters, and moral compromises. The hero will once again face not only crime but also his own past.
At the heart of the story is Ben Reilly, a private detective and former superhero who once wore the Spider-Man mask. After years of silence, he finds himself drawn into an investigation that leads him to the criminal boss Silvermane. The confrontation with the mafia gradually turns into an attempt for Reilly to deal with his own mistakes.
The creators previously explained that the name change is a conscious decision. Ben Reilly is presented as a more mature and \"broken\" version of the hero, who has already gone through the path of the classic Parker. The reasons for this change promise to be revealed during the season.
Viewers will be able to choose between a stylized color version and a black and white version, created to maximize the aesthetics of classic noir.
The premiere will take place on May 27, 2026. The first season will include eight episodes. There is no news yet about an early renewal for a second season.
