Two games from the Dead or Alive series were announced at State of Play. Fans can expect spectacular battles and a familiar style.
Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo presented a trailer for a "new project" in the Dead or Alive universe. The game does not yet have an official title, but everything points to a full-fledged seventh installment. The developers have confirmed the start of production of the new game and made it clear that this is not a one-time return, but a more ambitious plan for the future.
The announcement coincided with the 30th anniversary of the series — the first part was released in 1996. Over the decades, the franchise has become famous for its fast-paced combat, spectacular arenas, and recognizable style. The statement says directly that work on the new installment has begun, and the authors ask players to continue supporting the brand.
The second piece of news is more specific: Dead or Alive 6 Last Round will be released on June 25, 2026 on PS5. This is the final version of the sixth part, adapted for the new generation of consoles.
