Jerry Bruckheimer outlined his position on the future of "Pirates of the Caribbean 6." In a conversation with reporters, he effectively denied rumors that the central character of the film would be the son of Jack Sparrow. At the same time, the producer made it clear that Margot Robbie's participation in the project is quite likely.
To Nichelle Turner's question from ET — "So, maybe it's about Margot Robbie, not Jack Sparrow's son?" — Bruckheimer replied: "I think you're moving in the right direction."
Probably, the producer cannot reveal the details directly. It was previously reported that Robbie could lead a separate film in the "Pirates" universe, but recently insider Jeff Sneider stated that Disney allegedly decided to include her character in the main line of the franchise.
The fate of Jack Sparrow himself remains uncertain. There have been reports of a possible return of Johnny Depp, even in a minor role, but there is no official confirmation of this.
