The actor's 13-year-old daughter was in no hurry to return to the Marvel universe.

India Rose Hemsworth will reappear as Love, Thor's adopted daughter, introduced in Thor: Love and Thunder. The character will return in the crossover Avengers: Doctor Doom, but, as Chris Hemsworth admitted, it was not easy to persuade his daughter to star in it.

On The View, the actor said that now that his daughter is a teenager, her attitude to work has changed. According to him, even before filming began, she asked how long it would take.

"She's 13 now, she's a teenager, so she's a little different than when we shot the previous movie. And then she comes to the set and says, 'Ugh, how much longer will this take?' And I say, 'We haven't even started yet!'"

When it turned out that there were several days of filming ahead, the daughter's enthusiasm noticeably decreased.

"She's like, 'Oh my god.' And in the end I had to bribe her to come to the set. She says, 'I'm not coming! I'm not even getting paid! What am I even doing here?' And I say, 'You're getting paid.' She says, 'Really? You didn't tell me that.'"

What role Love will play in the plot of the new Avengers has not yet been revealed. According to insiders, the character may be associated with the cosmic entity Eternity and become one of Thor's entry points into the conflict with Doctor Doom. There is no official confirmation of these details.

The premiere of Avengers: Doctor Doom is scheduled for December 18, 2026.
