Insider Gaming journalists have revealed a list of six projects that Ubisoft has shut down as part of its ongoing restructuring. The company previously confirmed the cancellation of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, but, as is known, this was not the only one.

According to the publication, Ubisoft has ceased development or support for the following games:

  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake — a remake announced in 2020;
  • Project Ether — a project that has been in development since 2019, presumably at Ubisoft Halifax. It is reported that some of the work formed the basis of a new game;
  • Project Pathfinder, previously known as Project U — supposedly a cooperative PvE shooter, the development of which was restarted in 2024;
  • Project Crest — an extraction shooter set in World War II;
  • Assassin’s Creed Rebellion — support for the 2018 mobile action strategy has been discontinued;
  • Assassin’s Creed Singularity — a new mobile project in the series universe

It is separately clarified that the previously mentioned multiplayer Assassin’s Creed is not included in this list — it was closed separately.

At the same time, Ubisoft continues to work on other projects. According to rumors, the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remains in production, and its full announcement may take place in April. It has also been officially confirmed that development of Beyond Good & Evil 2 is continuing.
