Some had already hoped to see Cavill in the new "Game of Thrones" spin-off.

Rumors about Henry Cavill's appearance in the new series based on the "Game of Thrones" universe have not been confirmed. Actor Peter Claffey, who plays Dunk in "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," has publicly denied them.

The reason was a fragment of an interview in which Claffey compared his character to Geralt of Rivia. His co-star Dexter Sol Ansell, who plays Egg, tried to continue the thought, hinting at Henry Cavill. Claffey immediately reacted, asking not to develop this topic and adding that the journalists "didn't hear that." This moment quickly spread across social networks and gave rise to rumors about Henry Cavill's participation in "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms."

To stop the speculation, the actor published an explanation on social networks. According to him, Dexter Sol Ansell's phrase had nothing to do with Cavill's possible appearance in the series or in the universe as a whole.

Interest in the topic has long been fueled by the fan community. The actor himself admitted back in 2022 on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he would be interested in being in Westeros, although he doubts that there would be a suitable place for him. So far, this is indeed the case: there is no official information about the actor's participation in any franchise projects. Cavill is actively involved in the filming of Chad Stahelski's "Highlander" reboot, and is also preparing for the production of a series based on Warhammer 40K.
