Press Appraised Styx: Blades of Greed - Praised, but Without Enthusiasm

Styx: Blades of Greed is released today on PC, PS, and Xbox Series X/S. The Western press has already published reviews. The result is a solid and confident project, but without moments that would "blow your mind."

The average score on Opencritic after 26 reviews is 75%. DualShockers and PS4Blog.net rated the game highest (8.5/10 each), PC Gamer gave it 82/100. Most reviewers settled on 7–7.5 — this is a good, but not must-have game.

Reviewer Shane Limbo from DualShockers believes that the project is better than previous installments in everything and fans should take it without hesitation. Sean Prescott from PC Gamer notes that the game has become larger in scale, but has retained its focus on stealth, the main advantage of the series.

A frequent complaint is technical problems that drag down the scores. Several authors write that a couple of major patches would be enough for the average score to exceed 8. Joey Visser from Gameliner also points to a slow introduction that can scare away newcomers.

In the end, it’s a high-quality and safe stealth game for genre lovers. Not a revolution, but a solid job without a bright spark.
