The second season of Battlefield 6 finally started this week after a month's delay. However, despite the expectations of fans, the new content has not yet caused much excitement in the community - players still have many questions and complaints.

In addition to the controversy surrounding the new VL-7 gas (opinions in the community are divided from delight to sharp criticism), players agree on one thing: they lack truly large maps. The desire to see large-scale battlefields has become one of the main topics of discussion.

In a new interview, series producer Philippe Girette from DICE admitted that the team is well aware of the audience's requests. However, you should not count on a completely new large map in the near future.

We don't want to reveal too much, but we hear you very well. You have already seen in Battlefield Labs that we have started testing Golmud Railway - one of the old maps of the series [was in Battlefield 4]. This is one of the possible answers to player feedback, the rest is a matter of the future
Philippe Girette, DICE.

According to Girette, the development of large maps requires significant resources and time.

We are trying to make changes to the maps that are already in development, and we are looking ahead. Creating such maps takes a very long time. We are not limited, but we must act very precisely... We will definitely look at the existing maps, but we cannot announce anything that will happen within the second season
