Brandon Sanderson spoke about the progress of the screenplay adaptation of "Mistborn" for Apple TV+. According to the writer, 10% of the text is already ready. Two weeks ago, he was only talking about 2%, which indicates noticeable progress. The author shared the update on his YouTube channel, where he also mentioned that he recently underwent shoulder surgery.
At the same time, Sanderson's official website still indicates 2% in the section. The information has probably not been updated yet. Similar discrepancies have already occurred, as the writer often reports the numbers in the video first, and then corrects the data on the website.
Sanderson separately noted that work on the adaptations of "Mistborn" and "The Stormlight Archive" should not significantly affect the release schedule of new books.
As a reminder, the "Mistborn" series is planned to be adapted into feature films, while "The Stormlight Archive" is being considered as a multi-season series.
