Geralt's Voice Actor in The Witcher 3 Criticized the Bloody Baron Quest

The Bloody Baron storyline in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has long been considered one of the best in the history of role-playing games. However, for Doug Cockle, who voiced Geralt in the English version, the memories were not ideal.

Despite fan praise for its moral depth and acting, he himself experienced "madness" during the playthrough.

In an interview with YouTuber GoatedSynro, the actor admitted that during visits to the Crow's Perch fortress, he did not use the fast travel point inside the castle (it opened after completing the Baron's questline). Therefore, he had to constantly go up and down the hill.

I kept riding that damn horse up and down the hill. At some point, you have to leave Roach and just run on foot. Up and down, up and down. It was driving me crazy.

The actor noted that he doesn't like wasting time on "immersive" travel. Because of this, the Velen region only took fifth place in his personal ranking. He added that the script is brilliant, but the mechanical repetitiveness of this location at the beginning of the game was unbearable for him.
