Epic Games Store continues the tradition of weekly giveaways.
This week, users of the mobile version of the Epic Games Store are offered to add Residual to their library for free — a science fiction 2D platformer with survival elements from OrangePixel studio.
The player has to take on the role of a lone explorer who crashed on a planet in a forgotten galaxy. His task is to survive in a procedurally generated world and find an ancient alien technology that can repair the ship. The hero is accompanied by a sarcastic emergency bot PDB, which helps to navigate and gradually reveals the history of the planet.
Residual was released on PC in 2021 and went unnoticed: the game has 31 user reviews on Steam, of which 69% are positive. The mobile release may give the project a second wave of interest.
The giveaway will last until 18:00 Moscow time on February 26. The game is available on Android and iOS, while the iOS version is distributed in EU countries.
