The Roblox platform is demonstrating a level of engagement that exceeds the combined figures of PlayStation and Steam. This was reported by industry analyst Matthew Ball, who published data on the number of gameplay hours.
According to the report, in 2025 Roblox users spent an average of 10.3 billion hours per month on the platform. For comparison, Steam generates about 5.1 billion hours, while PlayStation accounts for 4.3 billion. Thus, Roblox not only outpaces each platform individually, but also surpasses their combined total.
Ball also notes that in terms of hours of use, Roblox is gradually approaching Netflix's figures. At the same time, the most popular projects within the platform demonstrate engagement on the level of the biggest major games such as Fortnite and Dota 2, or even entire publishing portfolios.
At the developers conference at the end of 2025, Roblox Corporation stated that the platform attracts more than 100 million active users daily, which makes it possible to maintain such a high level of engagement.
Audience growth is accompanied by increasing regulatory pressure. The company is implementing additional measures to protect minors, including age verification and communication restrictions, but at the same time faces lawsuits and blocks in a number of countries. As of early 2026, access to Roblox is restricted in Russia, Egypt, Turkey, China, Algeria, Iraq, Palestine, Qatar, and Oman.
