Enthusiasts continue to fight Denuvo.
Recently, a hacker nicknamed Andreh announced the hacking of Denuvo in Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. Now he has announced a victory over the formidable DRM protection in the Ubisoft project.
Denuvo was also used to protect Assassin’s Creed Shadows on PC, and Andreh used a similar method with a "hypervisor" to bypass DRM.
Initially, the hacked version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows only worked on PCs with AMD processors, but then Andreh refined the "crack" and it began to run on Intel as well (but frequent crashes are still observed).
Hacking Denuvo with a "hypervisor" means that the player needs to disable the PC's protection systems for the "crack" to work. This creates additional risks.
