According to a recent blog post by Playground Games, the campaign in Forza Horizon 6 will combine world exploration and festival challenges in Japan. Unlike previous installments, where the player immediately became a star of the festival, this time the journey will begin with the role of an ordinary tourist dreaming of getting to the Horizon Festival and eventually achieving legend status.
Progression is built around achievements and discoveries. To gain access to the festival, players will have to qualify by earning their first participant bracelet. It unlocks access to races throughout Japan.
Further advancement is associated with obtaining new bracelets — for participating in festival races, PR challenges, and driving skill competitions. As status grows, increasingly complex races with fast cars and various types of road surfaces will be unlocked.
However, the campaign is not limited to official competitions. The Discover Japan mode offers a more free-form style of play. Here, you can earn special Stamps for photographing landscapes, participating in side activities like night street races, and exploring cultural attractions. Rewards include cars, credits, and cosmetic items.
