A modern boomer-shooter in the style of Quake has been released - it weighs 64 kilobytes and is created in a new programming language

Recently, a developer with the nickname daivuk presented the QUOD project. It could have become "another boomer-shooter" in the style of Quake, but it attracted attention with its technical feature.

The size of QUOD is only 64 kilobytes, while it provides full 3D gameplay. The project offers 3 levels, a boss battle, 4 unique enemies, 4 types of weapons and several bonuses.

daivuk said that he created his virtual machine and programming language in order to reduce the file size.

QUOD does not need external resources to work — the developer was able to fit all the necessary textures, sounds, music, levels, animations, models, code into 64 kilobytes.
