The company's customer focus never ceases to amaze players.
Recently, a story of a girl who had been using a Valve Index headset for 7 years went viral in the gaming community.
Recently, SharklettVT's headset cable broke, and she tried contacting Steam support:
Well, after 6655 hours, my Valve Index cable finally broke. Considering that others usually last about a year and a half, I'm honestly glad mine lasted since 2019. I politely wrote to Steam support asking for a new one, but honestly, I'm not really counting on a response — after all, it's been too long.
SharklettVT soon received a response. It was quick and unexpected — Valve decided to "make an exception," and the girl will receive a free cable:
Steam once again proves why it holds the top spot among gaming platforms: less than 24 hours after the headset became almost unusable, they had already solved my problem — despite the fact that the warranty had long expired. God bless Valve — and a special thanks to the support team :D
