It is reported that Sony considered Bluepoint's remakes and remasters not profitable enough.

Bluepoint Games offered Sony several remakes and remasters for PS5, but none of the projects received the green light. This is reported by Green Zone Bites, citing former employees of the company.

According to sources, Bluepoint presented ideas for remakes of Jak & Daxter and Resistance, as well as a remaster of Shadow of the Colossus for PlayStation 5. The latter project, it is claimed, was considered particularly actively.

The situation with Shadow of the Colossus looks ambiguous. According to sources, the remaster of the PS4 version did not show high sales, but Sony still supported its release at the initiative of Shuhei Yoshida, who at that time was the president of Sony Worldwide Studios. Yoshida, it is claimed, was personally interested in preserving and developing the game.

As part of the proposal for PS5, Bluepoint planned not just a technical update, but also content expansion. In particular, the addition of four to six new bosses was discussed, some of which were originally cut from the original version of the game for PS2.

In addition, the studio twice tried to get approval for a Bloodborne remake. The first attempt in 2021 ended in failure — according to sources, due to Sony's complex relationship with FromSoftware. In 2025, Bluepoint returned to the idea again and even worked on the project for about three months, but it was rejected again.
