The Tales Remastered project was conceived as a way to bring forgotten installments of the series back to modern platforms.
And in the first few months, it was: Tales of Symphonia Remastered, Tales of Xillia Remastered, and Tales of Graces f Remastered were released.
But the recent release of Tales of Berseria Remastered raised questions. The original game already works via backward compatibility on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, so the need for a remaster is doubtful.
Audience interest turned out to be low. The peak online on Steam was 626 people – a noticeably weaker result than other installments. For comparison: Tales of Xillia Remastered gathered over 1300 players, and the original Tales of Berseria – 8085.
The remaster has 61% positive reviews on Steam.
