The long journey of Command & Conquer: Renegade fans, who years ago decided to create a "spiritual successor" to the beloved shooter, has recently come to an end.
The full version of the Renegade X project has been released. Modders from Totem Arts presented a special trailer and addressed the community:
Ladies and gentlemen, after 20 years of development, we have a gift for you. The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived. 12 years of beta testing have brought us to this point—the release of Renegade X 1.0 […] This is the spiritual successor to C&C Renegade, that underrated FPS/RTS shooter that we once loved so much. The Renegade X project has already been published online. Some fans "can't believe" they were able to see the release of the full version.
