INTERFAX reports that a magistrate of judicial district No. 422 of the Tagansky district of Moscow found the English company Battlestate Games Limited guilty of violating Russian laws on personal data.
The court imposed a penalty on the English Battlestate Games Limited in the form of an administrative fine of 2 million rubles.
The company was found guilty under Part 8 of Art. 13.11 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation, violation of the requirement to localize data of Russian users on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Battlestate Games is famous for creating the tactical shooter Escape from Tarkov. The main office is located in London.
