Capcom is preparing a major expansion for Resident Evil Requiem, according to insider Dusk Golem. He confirmed that the expansion is in an advanced stage of development.
According to him, the expansion was originally planned to fill the gap between the release of RE9 and the remakes of Resident Evil Code Veronica and Resident Evil Zero, but the schedule has changed. The DLC will be released closer to the premiere of the main game.
The insider also revealed details about the characters. There is a fully playable version of Alissa, prepared specifically for the expansion. She didn't make it into the base game, but may appear in the DLC. Leon is also increasingly mentioned, who may play a key role in the expansion.
Director Kosi Nakanishi previously stated that elements cut from the main campaign, including scenes with Leon, may be used in the future. Dusk Golem added that the amiibo planned for July 30 with Resident Evil Requiem, including weapon skins, may be part of the marketing campaign for the DLC.
