Capcom's game was released at the end of February and quickly confirmed its status as a commercial success.
The game topped the latest sales chart in the UK. We are talking about physical editions – the British still actively buy boxes.
According to GfK Chart-Track, Requiem became the leader of the week. 54% of buyers chose the PlayStation 5 version, 36% – PC. Xbox Series X and Series S accounted for 6%, Nintendo Switch 2 – 4%.
The low share of Switch 2 is not necessarily related to the Game-Key Card format. The Resident Evil Generation Pack, which includes Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil Village and Requiem, was in third place in the chart.
The Game Business analyst Christopher Dring noted: the Requiem version for Switch 2 sold better in the first week than Mario Tennis Fever, and showed a comparable start with Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition a year ago.
