Kyo Kusanagi from the fighting game The King of Fighters '98, who is capable of controlling fire, will pay a visit to collectors in 2026, as Kotobukiya will release a new 25.6 cm statue of this fighter.
Kotobukiya has prepared a gift for fans of the fighting game The King of Fighters '98. Right now, it is already possible to place a pre-order for a new Kyo Kusanagi statue made in 1/8 scale.
It can be purchased for 22 thousand Japanese yen (10,913 rubles). The height of this collectible item, made of ABS plastic and polyvinyl chloride, is 25.6 cm.
The statue is scheduled for release in September 2026.
Kyo is the heir of the Kusanagi clan, one of the three ancient families that once sealed away the serpent god Orochi. He possesses a natural ability to control fire. His main rival is Iori Yagami; however, despite their long-standing hostility, Kyo is ready to join forces with him in order to fight common threats.
Kyo Kusanagi is a self-confident and at times brash person who prefers to enjoy life. In battle, he uses the "ancient Kusanagi-style martial arts" combined with elements of kenpo.
