Some confusion arose on March 7, 2026, following the publication of the "Steam Year in Review 2025." The post originally stated:
We are hoping for a release in 2026, but the shortage of memory and storage creates difficulties.
Following media publications, Valve representative Kaci Aitchison Boyle clarified for The Verge:
Nothing has changed on our end.
Later, the text of the post was corrected:
There were difficulties with memory and storage, but all three products will be released this year.
Valve noted that the goal of releasing the products in the first half of the year remains the same, but the company needs to determine the exact prices and release dates.
