The worst predictions regarding the fate of Ballistic Moon studio have been confirmed. The team, which prepared the Until Dawn remake in 2024, has been officially disbanded.
Documents confirm the liquidation of the studio: the application was submitted on November 11, 2025, and the execution took place on February 3, 2026. This was confirmed by the British service Final Gazette Notice, and not by Sony Interactive Entertainment or the studio itself.
It is worth recalling that the Until Dawn remake was created by former Supermassive Games developers: Duncan Kershaw, Neil McEwan, and Chris Lamb, who worked at the studio in different years.
Despite the team's experience and the release of the film, the updated game did not generate significant interest. After the premiere, there was a wave of layoffs, and already in March 2025, the studio was perceived as closed, which is now only formalized.
