Bungie didn't anticipate that players might simply not have room for them in their inventory.
Marathon players are experiencing an issue with receiving in-game rewards associated with the Twitch event celebrating the launch of the new shooter from Bungie. The developers have warned that the special Twitch kit may accidentally disappear if the player's inventory is full.
This refers to the so-called Twitch Sponsored Kit — a reward that can be obtained through the notifications tab in the game after participating in a streaming event on the Twitch platform. When activated, this kit grants random weapons and gear for use in a run. After receiving it, it is automatically sent to the storage, where players keep their equipment.
However, here lies the problem. Unlike other rewards — such as those obtained for contracts or faction rank increases — Twitch kits are not sent to the overflow section if there is no free space in the storage, but simply disappear.
Bungie is aware of the issue and asks players to simply free up space in their inventory. Judging by the studio's rhetoric, the developers are not planning to fix the bug.
