Prime Video has announced the premiere date for the fourth season of the animated series "The Legend of Vox Machina." The continuation of the tabletop campaign adaptation of Critical Role based on Dungeons & Dragons will be released on the service on June 3. The season will be released with three episodes per week, with a total of 12 episodes awaiting viewers.
The new season takes place a year after the events of the third. The world is still reeling from the aftermath of the devastating Chromatic Conclave invasion, and the heroes themselves have gone their separate ways, trying to deal with personal problems and find a new place in life. However, the peace in Exandria turns out to be temporary. An ancient threat begins to awaken, and the Vox Machina team will have to reunite once again.
The characters are traditionally voiced by the actors from the original Critical Role campaign. The cast includes Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O'Brien, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham.
The series has previously been renewed for a fifth season. It will be the final chapter of the story.
