The famous StarCraft series returns to gamers in a slightly unusual format. Archon Studio, which gave the world the board games Wolfenstein: The Board Game and Heroes of Might and Magic 3: The Board Game, announced that pre-orders for StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game have opened on the Gamefound crowdfunding platform.
We are talking about a duel board game, a game in which takes approximately 60–120 minutes. Now the starter set with terrans, protoss, and zerg can be purchased for $289 (22,846 rubles). A bundle with two additional armies of terrans and zerg will cost $459 (36,286 rubles).
A special set with protoss costs $239 (18,894 rubles), and a collector's set with three armies costs $439 (34,705 rubles). The "All Inclusive" set will cost $669 (52,887 rubles).
In StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game, players will be able to control Jim Raynor, Kerrigan, and Artanis, hire various units using minerals, spend vespene gas on tactical cards, take part in turn-based battles, and complete missions.
More detailed information about the gameplay can be found in the review video from Archon Studio. Gamefound indicates that the estimated delivery date is May 2026, but the team asks you to take into account that the order will take several months from start to finish.
