Bungie continues to improve the balance in its shooter.
Bungie has released update 1.0.0.4 for Marathon, which reworked the item economy, enemy and weapon balance, and fixed a number of technical issues. In addition, the patch added new contracts and made changes to some game zones.
In the "Perimeter" zone, the number of medical lockers and ammunition boxes that appear has been increased. In addition, the developers have increased the starting supply of ammunition in the free MIDA, CyberAcme, and Arachne sponsorship kits.
At the same time, the drop rate of EMP grenades from UESC grenadiers has been reduced.
UESC faction enemies received a slight health reduction, and bosses received a reduced shield reserve. According to the developers, this should reduce resource consumption in battles without making opponents too easy.
For the Rook shell, bugs with the disappearance of backpacks during evacuation and the display of the position on the map have been fixed. In addition, CyberAcme's reputation for successful evacuation with this shell has been increased, and the reputation bonus now matches that received by solo players.
