A few days ago, Playground Games studio showed a gameplay segment, but the footage was met coolly. Players pointed out the low video quality as well as the "empty" locations.
Fans wrote that there were almost no cars or signs of life on the roads, which made the world look weaker than expected from the new installment. It seems the developers took the reaction into account and released more detailed material.
The new gameplay was shown as part of IGN First. The video presented the game's content and activities in the open world of Japan in more detail. Players will see Time Attack and Drag Race events built directly into the open world. Instead of navigating through menus, racers simply drive up to the event location and immediately start the race.
Special attention was given to the progression system, one of the key elements of the series. In the sixth installment, the Horizon Festival once again plays an important role, and player advancement is tied to the Wristband bracelet system. At the same time, the developers prepared separate rewards for those who prefer to simply explore the world, drive around the map, and take part in random activities.
