Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, known by his Gamertag on Xbox, has joined the Commodore 64 Ultimate team as a community development advisor. His task is to "lead initiatives for community engagement strategies, events, and developer interaction."
Gryb recently met with the new head of Xbox, Asha Sharma, but a return to the Xbox division is not yet planned. After being dismissed from Unity earlier this year, he decided to focus on Commodore 64 Ultimate.
The company's official website states:
For decades, fans have preserved the legacy of Commodore, held events, created new hardware and software, and maintained the spirit of the brand. Gryb will help strengthen existing ties and introduce Commodore to a new generation of creators, developers, and enthusiasts.
Gryb noted:
I have always believed that the best thing a company can do is collaborate with the community. The Commodore community didn't wait, but built something outstanding. Now we are creating this together.
The plan includes strategies for community engagement, events, and programs that will unite the legacy of Commodore with modern technology and creativity.
