The Harvest Moon series has been a mainstay of the life simulation genre for many years. The games combine a peaceful life on the farm with exploring the world and developing relationships. Developers from Natsume are expanding the formula and have presented a new installment where attention will be paid to travel and exploration.
Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The release date has not yet been revealed. Players will embark on a journey through a region shrouded in mysterious fog. The goal is to help the guardian spirits restore the former prosperity of the settlements and find out the source of supernatural phenomena.
The developers promise an expanded exploration system. Players will be able to visit remote islands, climb into previously inaccessible places, and travel through the wilderness, where dangerous animals live.
The game will also feature mechanics familiar to the series, but with new elements. For example, ten possible romantic partners and animal companions with unique abilities. In addition to farming and communicating with residents, players will be able to influence the development of the Teradea region by earning special Happilia points. In the coming months, the studio will reveal new details, as well as show special editions and pre-order bonuses.
