Requiem Becomes Fastest-Selling Game in Resident Evil Series, Reaching 6 Million Copies Worldwide

Capcom has officially confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem has become the fastest-selling game in the history of the Resident Evil franchise.

Back in early March, the publisher announced that the new installment in the series had sold 5 million copies in less than a week after its release. The company noted at the time that such a successful start was made possible by the game's "global recognition" and an extremely successful launch.

However, at that time, Capcom did not officially state that reaching the 5 million copies mark was the largest launch in the history of the series.

Now, the company has announced a new milestone: sales of Resident Evil Requiem have exceeded 6 million copies. Capcom emphasized that this is the fastest result in reaching such an indicator among all games in the franchise.
